About the Blog

I have always had an interest in blogging but never thought I had much to say. Working in higher education, I spend a lot of time keeping up with new technology, especially when it relates to the Web. Web 2.0 is changing the way we, as PR practitioners, communicate. In Higher Education, the web plays a significant role because today’s students are more web savvy, more clever than ever. It is a challenge to keep track and stay in the game.

My focus for this blog is to dive into the world of public relations as it relates to higher education. I really want to investigate new technologies and find out for myself what Web 2.0 is all about and how it can apply to Higher ED.

I’m sure as time goes by there will be many other topics to talk about. Don’t be surprised to read posts about sports. Working at Mount Union College, home of the nine-time Division III Football National Champions, I cannot help but to talk about college athletics.

Hopefully, you will learn something from this blog, as I know there is a lot out there, and I’m only hoping to add to the conversation.

Feel free to let me know how I am doing.
